Design process

Working process of our Interior design company in Hitchin, Hertfordshire.

DESIGN PROCESS

Every client is unique. Every working process is altered to suit your personal needs.

Every design brief is different and altered to find the right approach for your home and the ones who live within it. A free introduction meeting is offered where we can meet and discuss your needs and requirements. After this meeting we will put a proposal together on how to move towards your required home goals and aesthetics.

Floor planning - Moodboards - Product sourcing - BESPOKE

Floor planning & SpaTial Design

Renovations and extensions require a great deal of floor planning to get the flow of the house right from the start. Where to place walls, windows, doors! Or where best to place the dining table, which shape of kitchen to choose, you name it and it needs to be considered in the floor plan before moving on to the next steps of the Design process. It is very important to understand what the client wants and needs from their space whilst designing the spacial layout.

Moodboards & COLOUR CONSULTATIONS

Creating moodboards is not only a lot of fun, it helps to create and build a direction to communicate with the client. It is a great tool for finding out what the feel of the project is and in which way you wish to proceed forwards to the next steps.

Product Sourcing & FLOORING OR KITCHEN DESIGN

Finding the right piece of art, beautiful lighting or furniture to dress your space can make all the difference in creating the desired atmosphere or final look of a project. Every situation calls for its own unique finishing which can be expressed in colour use, material choices or in singular furniture pieces. Finding them can be a challenge I enjoy taking on for both old or brand new items.

bespoke carpentry or joinery

When something needs to be made to measure to fit a space or when you cannot find the right product to fit what you have in mind, a bespoke approach can be a great solution. Build in storage, beautiful carpentry, restoration of lost elements, clever door tricks or reclaimed floors all can add great value when designed and executed with perfection.
